Why do republican capitalists claim no examples of socialism working exist? have they ever heard of europe?

there are lots of examples right there. and as for capitalism, deregulation (less govt, i.e. capitalism)of the banking industry caused the collapse that obama is trying hard to recover from (and he is being attacked for not doing the way bush or cheney or limbaugh or herbert hoover would want). will these losers ever go away?
