Is Steve Dahl fired?

At the end of Friday's show (12/5)--just out of the blue--Steve Dahl said that like George Clooney, he ran into the perfect storm that did him in. A combination of a new station, new time, no marketing, the bad economy, and a new way of taking ratings led to his demise. He said he did not do a farewell show because he was getting pushed out. He said all of his staff were free to take new positions if they arose. He said they were the best, and his show sounded better than ever. Though, ironically, he got fired. He played Jimmy Webb's song If You See Me Getting Smaller, I'm Leaving to say goodbye.
