Can someone help give recipes on how to cook dry beans?

Cooking dry beans can be tricky. First they need to be pre-soaked. Using 3 cups water for each cup of dry beans, soak the beans for 12 hours. This can be done overnight. A fast way to soak is to boil the water and add the beans. Bring to a boil again and boil for two minutes. Remove from heat, cover, and let stand for one hour. After soaking, cook the beans in the water used for soaking. The cook (simmer) time varies depending on the variety of bean. That information should be on the package.
